Look into their Eyes
Very young children are innately sincere. You can see it in their eyes. They have a sense of sincerity about them that shows through in their smiles, laughter, and in their tears. They enjoy and experience life “in the moment.” You can see that they do this very naturally. As adults we have lost so much of our sense of sincerity, yet we can and should do our best to get it back.
Most adults lie a lot. We lie so much we don't even know we're lying, or we do know we are lying and do it anyway. This is not natural for us and it really damages our progress on our road in life because there is no way we can lie, be insincere, and get by with it. The Law of Cause and Effect, “what we sow we must reap,” is a ubiquitous and unbreakable Universal Law.
If young children are careless, or not physically capable of the best balance needed to walk and fall down, they may cry about it but they get up and continue to try again to do their best. They cry sincerely, and they try to do better sincerely. They may not consciously know the Law of Cause and Effect or earthly laws, but they learn very quickly what needs to be done for success in their efforts and are very sincere about it. However, by the time we are adults most of us are living life mundanely, just making it through the day – going to work, coming home, yada, yada, yada. We have become unconscious zombies!
As adults we can consciously use our will to be in harmony with Universal Laws to help build our success. Sincerity in our efforts is essential. The FourSquare is that wonderful tool that we can use in a very practical, reasoning way to help focus our free will to live in harmony with the Universal Laws. We are to live with enthusiasm and do our best at all times, as expressed in the corner of Life. We are to be conscious, wise and intelligent, know instead of assume or believe, as expressed in the corner of Mind. We are to be sincere by being honest, true to our word, and accurate in any work at hand, as expressed in the corner of Law. We are to be caring and compassionate, as expressed in the corner of Love.
Our word should be law; what we say should be accurate, true and honest. We don’t make promises we can’t or won’t keep. When we are sincere we are genuinely true and free from “adulteration;” we liberate our self from negative thinking, feelings and actions. And, we do this with the help of the Great Law by living the FourSquare. Man is a creation of the Eternal, Spirit and Matter in one, and as such we have the power and duty to express those qualities. Like children, we may fall down and make mistakes, yet we can also try, try, try again, until we succeed.
This is very powerful to understand and even more so once you begin to feel sincerity and express it in your actions. Try it and see. Sincerity is pivotal on our road to success and happiness in life because it opens the mind to Love. Love encompasses all the qualities of our Soul and FourSquare. It helps us live life “in the moment” and harmoniously. Naturally, we will have more of a sense of sincerity about us. You can see it in our eyes.
